It's been 16 months since Major Cutie has come home to us. Attaching/bonding hasn't come "naturally" for any of us. While I was brushing her teeth tonight she said with her mouth full of toothpaste and spit....

I absolutely understand that moment! My husband and I were just talking the other day about Katie being home 8 months and how it really will probably take atleast 1 1/2-2 years for her to really feel secure and let go with me. It is not easy, it certainly is an on-going journey...I thought I would be better at it. I guess more "natural" like you pointed out. Like you, we see changes and we press on!
