We just overnited our new Ethiopia contract today and we should have our dossier in hand by the end of the week - I hope! I am looking so forward to getting all of our paper work so that I can work on something! Since we made the final decision last week I have been anxious to get moving and looking forward to seeing all we have to do for Ethiopia. I heard the paperwork was much less than Guatemala so we will see. As you may or may not know our agency has not completed even one adoption in Ethiopia! We are walking an unknown path with a know-it-all God...isn't that a relief! I believe one family has their referral and I heard one other was waiting for a referral and about a dozen of us are doing our paperwork! And you know what, we are at peace with all of this inexperience. I'll catch up later. My Elizabeth has the chicken pox...a lot of them!

Our agency's Ethiopia program is pretty new, too, but not quite as new as your's. Our agency's first family to adopt from Ethiopia came home just a few months ago, but there are lots "in the works now", so it's growing very fast! It does actually feel good to be working on something, so I know what you mean.

If you have any questions about older child adoption feel free to ask! Our son came home from Guatemala at 4.5 years old. I'm not an expert, but I have “been there and done that” :-)
Poor Veda!! Chicken Pox are NOOOO fun!! I remember my case, and I was only 4 1/2. I am so grateful for the Varicella vaccine for our kids. Not one of them has had it so far. Keeping my fingers crossed. 8^)
