We received our new dossier for Ethiopia on Monday, had a talk through with Julie at AGCI on Wednesday and go over the whole adoption process with Martha, the other director for Ethiopia via phone tomorrow nite. I am so excited about this dossier because it is so much simplier than it was for Guatemala! To be honest, I could have my part done in a week. I have to do a few things that I do not have much control over like updating our home study and applying to the USCIS to change our country from Guatemala to Ethiopia. I am not sure how long these things will take. I pray is to be all done in the next two to three weeks. Maybe I'm asking for too much but we'll see! We are hoping to adopt a girl between the ages of 3 and 4 years. I'll catch up soon!

Hi Jen, a 4 week turnaround would be fabulous! It is so nice to know that yours came so quick, it does help. 3 months seems so long to just process some papers.
A Michigan Ethiopia support group would be fun. If we don't find one, we can at least get our kids together. I know 1 person here in the Grand Rapids area who adopted a 5 year old Ethiopian girl a few months ago and there's lots of families from our agency in the waiting game with us right now, some for babies, some for older children like you.
I'm sure there would be a good way to link us together. Like a common blog with a "blogring" or "friends cirlce" of some sort. Xanga has those. We could make one. I know of a couple Ethiopia families from my agency who have adoption blogs on blogspot. Is there a way to link up people on Blogspot by type or creating a "group" of some sort?
Denise
Wow, that's certainly a milestone! One step closer to holding your child! :-)
