An update at last!

To those who still check out this blog, I am sorry for such the long delay in an update. We have dealt with 5 weeks of chicken pox and I'm not sure what else! Here's what's happened though...we have completed our dossier, sent it on it's way, received USCIS approval and are officially awaiting a referral! We are told to expect a 3-4 month wait but earlier would be ok too!! We feel God is leading us to a 3 -4 year old little girl and are approved for 0-4 years. I am so excited to see how God knits this whole story together for one family and His precious child half way across the world! I have also found a great support group of Christians who are adopting from Ethiopia and that has been great and also a Michigan Ethiopian group-both on yahoo. I'm getting lots of emails and tons of advice and encouragement. That has been great. I think I mentioned last that I wrote out our story of how God led us from Guatemala to Ethiopia. It's about 5 pages long so I don't really want to post it here. I would send an attachment via email but I'm not blog savvy to know if it's a no no to post my email address or have you post yours. Does anyone know? Anyway, I will post with updates when we get some!

Wow, you finished all that fast! How cool.

Hey- what are these Yahoo groups you found?

I have your email address! I sent you an email, it would be interesting to read your "switching story".

I'm excited for you, that you are waiting for a referral! We're definitely not there yet, but maybe by June or July we will be!

Waiting for a referral- wow! That's certainly a milestone, isn't it? I bet it's a relief to have all of the paperwork done (for now)- all you have to do is wait (my family is currently waiting for our travel date to pick up my 16-month-old sister little sister, and it's hard to be patient!) I hope you get your referral soon!!!!
