Today Aleena turned 6 years old! Six! I can hardly believe looking back almost two years ago how very much she has changed. So much change. We had plans to celebrate with a party today but had to postpone due to cousins with the flu...that didn't go over too well so we went ahead and gave her the gifts from us and she was all smiles! Tomorrow, the day after her birthday, two years ago, we saw our first glance of Birtukan Nasir. So I thought I'd share that once again...

Happy Birthday, Beautiful Girl! Praying this next year is especially blessed! Sweet blessings, Amy
Wow. What a difference a family makes.
Amazing.
I loved the post you linked to- Angie's I think about your daughter's and her sons' birth mother.
For us, our Ethiopian "daughter" (who is going to become my niece soon!) has no memories of her parents, both deceased.
Our son from China has no knowledge of his birth parents, nor do we.
I don't know the particulars of your daughter's story, but I am so happy for you that you know the family that adopted her brothers and can visit! How sad that there is yet another sibling still in ET.
I wonder why they were separated.
Our ET princess too was separated from her siblings, but the youngest.....many broken places in her heart.
Praising God the Father Who continues to teach us all and grafts us into HIS family!
love,
Holly-purpose driven family
Happy Birthday !!! She is still one of the prettiest little girls I have ever seen :)
