Finally a bit about "Troy's" Birthday

A few weeks back our "Troy" had his 9th birthday. Usually he plans his birthday's a few years out. As a matter of fact he is already thinking of his 10th birthday party. Guess these are pretty special days for kids aren't they? A day, just about them. Well this year Troy decided he wanted to play football with his friends up at the high school field. I thought this was a great idea as the party was outside and involved the dads! I did feed the crew and their parents back at our home but everyone had a great time. When the sun went down the boys went outside and played Ghost in the Graveyard. Troy received his Payton Manning jersey he was hoping for, a webkin, a new bike that he should grow into in a few years, and a few other great toys oh, and one of his favorite gifts...money! I love this kid and am so excited to see who he becomes in Christ. I love watching him grow and even love his longer hair style. Although I am way behind in the style department I have always liked the new "looks" that come and go. Troy is in third grade and seems to like homeschooling. He especially likes it when we are done by lunch time and can appreciate the free time that comes from getting all his schoolwork done. Here are a few pictures...

This is his new bike that we bought him in hopes that it'll be the last one for a while. It's a bit big but if he's anything like his dad he'll be six foot in no time!Look Mom! No Cavities!!So this wasn't actually the kind of dog Troy wanted, he was hoping for a hairy, did I say hairy German Shepard but he loves our dog Finnegan. And so do I! Not only is he adorable and super sweet but he doesn't shed one piece of hair!!! He's a Kerry Blue Terrier. And I love this picture! Isn't it so sweet. Troy and Finnegan love to just hang out on his bed and look out the window!
Troy will probably not appreciate that I posted this picture but his moppy hair doo is quiet crazy in this picture...and he wondered why Grandpa Tom asked him when he was getting a hair cut. His twin cousins who are 16 kept teasing him that he was cute! Boy did that turn his face red! This is the jersey Troy had to have. He wears it everyday that he can grab it out of the laundry! You'll probably see many pictures with this shirt!Cookie cake by Sam's Club...I added the football and the colts thingy. Yes we do live in Michigan but dh is from Indiana and is rubbing off on our son! This is the webkin his neighbor friends bought him. Here we were practicing signing with a quill pen like George Washington did when he signed the Declaration of Independence. We used blueberries, raspberries and strawberries along with salt and vinegar for the ink.A last picture of Troy. He is still in "training" on the hair care bit. He was so use to getting up and going that he forgets that longer hair takes some care. We'll see how long it lasts! I love this guy!
