Rewind, August 13th Day 3 in Ethiopia

We went to our US Embassy app't today. It was the first time we had our Major Cutie in the car with us. She had a fever though and was sick and did get car sick. We were prepared for this though and gave her a baggy, which she used! She ended up sleeping through our 3 minute Embassy app't. We did meet a girl who was in college from California upstairs in the Embassy. She had been teaching English for two months and had her passport stolen. Her plane was set to leave in two days. She had also told us she had been robbed 3 times in that two months and at least once from the folks she was living with! She could not have been 22 years old. What a servant's heart she must have. We also visited a gov't run orphanage, Enat Alem. This orphanage has a lot of children living there. This is where the children reside before being moved to Hannah's Hope with All God's Children. Two of the children with us had stayed there and some of their friends were still there and recognized them. When we left they sang a goodbye song to them. It was bitter sweet. We also enjoyed a coffe ceromony there. Our Major Cutie was really feeling bad by this time and was just like a rag doll in my arms. You'll see this in some of the pictures.
Enat Alem OrphanageThis was a coffe ceremony at Enat Alem. The coffe was very strong but they put lots of sugar in it. We also had popcorn and roasted barley, if think that is what those seeds were! This kids singing goodbye to their friends. That same day with Major Cutie in our hotel room. She was really struggling to feel well. I gave her Tylonel which she readily took.
