Changing the world...or not

After several weeks of trying to get the kids to "choose their battles wisely" and asking whether or not they were complaining/fighting/tattling over life-changing decisions this was one conversation that followed...


Major Cutie: " I want to wear these gloves outside."

Mom: "No, those ones aren't snow gloves. They'll get all wet."

Troy: (9 years old) "You need to wear different gloves."

Major Cutie whining now, "But I want these gloves."

Troy :"Gloves don't change the world,(insert her name here). Just wear these ones."
